camping Holidays are Fun
in tents or RV Parks

“The great outdoors, full of mosquitoes, sand in your shoes, uncomfortable beds, dangerous beasts and incontinent bathrooms.Who needs it?”
“Come on city slickers, give it a break! What about the fresh clean air, the awesome sunsets, the smell of fresh brewed coffee, food hot off the grill and the thrill of being close to nature.”
Whichever of the above quotes reflects the mind set that you have about camping holidays, there is a camping style that will fit you. For those who want to be “close to nature” there is camping in tents. For those who do not want to leave all their creature comforts behind there is rv camping in an RV park. Most RV parks even have camping stores nearby just in case you left something behind.
I prefer RV camping while my youngest brother likes the more adventurous camping in tents. When I was young and in the Boy scouts we camped in tents. I remember one night the tent collapsing during a driving rain st
orm. I swore that I would never sleep in a tent again unless I absolutely had to do so. That was over 50 years ago and I have been able to avoid tents since those early days.
My daughter and son-in-law have a RV which they like to take when they go camping. Now that is the way to camp! It has everything including air conditioning, an awning that covers an area to sit outside in, a full kitchen, a shower, comfortable beds and chairs – in other words, the works. They also take it on trips and to football games, That is taking tailgating to a whole new level.
My brother, the nature lover, usually goes to a campground with tents that are for rent or takes his own tent to wilderness areas. He just raves about how wonderful it is in the wild . I am glad that he enjoys it so much. I suppose that playing Daniel Boone for the weekend may be fun. However, I believe that given the choice, Daniel Boone probably would have chosen ten RV. Of course, my brother is a great defense lawyer so he would probably object to my last statement on the grounds that Daniel Boone is dead.
The moral of this story, if there is one, probably is that camping can be fun for everyone. You just need the right equipment. I guess that whether in a RV or a tent you can use your laptop so that you can find out exactly what time that beautiful sunrise will occur.
